Problem: Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2018-2020 EC505 6S+3S and EC655 6S+6S vehicles. The load holding grip of the grapple tines may loosen, resulting in a loss of load control.

Risk: Loss of load control may increase the risk of death or injury.

Fix: Altec will notify owners, and dealers will install a counterbalance valve with a lower pressure ratio to increase the opening threshold, free of charge. The recall began October 20, 2020. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 773.
