The truck has a problem with the wheel speed sensors. I first changed the pads and rotors on the front brakes think they might be the problem. But that did not work. The dealer has diagnosed the problem as bad wheel speed sensors and this causes the abs to engage at slow speeds.
My 1998 cheverolet silverado 2500 pick-up suffers from the same low speed abs problem as do the 1999 and later models. General motors should include the 1998 model year in the pending recall. *jb
