Equipment:electrical:accessory generator:solar panel; structure:body:roof and pillars
Problem: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Coachmen Nova NAB20C and NAB20D Class B motorhomes. The solar panel may detach from the pop-up roof.
Risk: A detached solar panel could become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will remove and reinstall the solar panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 26, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-6319. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-1772.
Equipment:recreational vehicle/trailer:lpg systems:tank valve/gauge
Problem: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Nova Class B motorhomes. The liquid level remote fill gauge on the propane tank may leak when in the "Open" position.
Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Dealers will replace the bleed valve on the propane tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 31, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-6225. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-1696.
Electrical system
Problem: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Beyond, Galleria, and Nova motorhomes, equipped with certain SmartPlug 30-Amp Shore Power Inlets. The manganese bronze D-rings may crack or fail when over-tightened.
Risk: A D-ring that cracks or fails may allow wires to loosen, causing electrical arcing and increasing the risk of a fire.
Fix: Dealers will install a new smart plug, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 16, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-825-6319. Forest River's number for this recall is 225-1669.
Fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings
Problem: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Coachmen Galleria, Beyond, Forester, Sunseeker, and 2021-2024 Nova motorhomes, equipped with certain Cummins Onan QG 2800i, and Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.
Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Cummins Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 17, 2023. Owners may contact Cummins at: (800) CUMMINS OR (800) 286-6467. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-206-7600, or Coachmen Class B customer service at 1-574-825-8602.
