Problem: Vehicle description: travel trailers. Wooden boards were mounted between the axle brackets and the frame of these travel trailers. The boards could deteriorate and/or compress sufficiently to allow the metal bracket of the axle mount to press downward against the bracket side mounting bolts.
Risk: This downward contact could create a shearing force across the bolts, allowing the axles to separate from the travel trailer.
Fix: Dealers will replace the wood with a steel tube section.

My firestone tires, on my dutchman motorhome, keep separating. This is the second blowout. They are steeltex radial lt225/75r16, load range e. One of these days someone is going to be killed over this. We bought one tire, which i think firestone should have done, and put our spare one the other one.
