Equipment:other:labels
Problem: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Entegra Ethos, Ethos LI, Jayco Swift and Swift LI vehicles. The Tire and Loading Information Label incorrectly lists the tire load range. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Risk: Incorrect tire and load range information could cause owners to select underrated replacement tires, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2024. Owners may contact Jayco Customer Service at 800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903614.
Electrical system; electrical system:12v/24v/48v battery
Problem: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jayco Solstice LI, Swift, Terrain, Terrain LE, Entegra Coach Ethos LI, Expanse LI, Launch LE motorhomes. The battery relay contactors may become stuck in the closed position.
Risk: Relays that are stuck in the closed position increase the risk of a fire during battery charging.
Fix: Dealers will update the battery software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 17, 2024. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903603.
Equipment:recreational vehicle/trailer; fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings
Problem: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Ethos, Expanse, Solstice, and Swift Class B recreational vehicles, equipped with certain Cummins Onan QG 2800i, and Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.
Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.
Fix: Dealers will inspect, and replace the fuel hose and clamp, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2023. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
Seat belts:rear/other:retractor; seat belts:front:retractor
Problem: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Jayco Swift and Entegra Ethos motorhomes. The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Risk: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the seat belt retractors as needed, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 21, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
