Problem: A crack occurs outboard of the axle attachment which grows and results in separation of the end of that axle, including tires and wheels, from the trailer.

Risk: Axle separation while moving can increase the risk of a vehicle accident.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the trailers at all 8 welds on the axle to air ride beam connections for visible cracks. If a crack is detected, the trailers will be removed from service and the axles replaced.
