Electrical system:propulsion system:traction battery:management system/energy control module (bms/becm):softwareSep 9, 2026 · NHTSA campaign 26V582000 · 86 vehicles

Problem: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Mustang Mache E vehicles that received a new Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) during a prior repair. The battery energy control module software may cause an incorrect state of charge to display in the vehicle, or lead to an increased risk of a high voltage battery fire after repeated DC Fast Charging cycles.

Risk: An inaccurate state-of-charge reading can lead to an unexpected loss of drive power, increasing the risk of crash. Additionally, a high voltage battery fire increases the risk of injury.

Fix: Dealers will update the BECM software, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 18, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in December 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S68. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026.

Exterior lighting:lighting control moduleDec 18, 2025 · NHTSA campaign 25V885000 · 45,047 vehicles

Problem: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Mustang Mache E vehicles. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: A loss of exterior lighting can reduce the driver's visibility and the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Ford will release an over-the-air (OTA) update or dealers will update the LDCMB software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C71. Problem: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Nautilus, Mustang Mach E, and Mustang vehicles. The LED Driver Modules may contain a burnt diode, which can cause the low-beam and high-beam headlights, daytime running lights, front position lights, and front turn signals to fail in the affected headlight.
